PRIDE AND JOY TRASHED
ANGRY neighbours have hit out after yobs turned a pride and joy car into a write-off.
Hours after the white Fiat was parked near Gamesley’s Eyam Mews it was trashed.
Yobs broke into the P-registered car, wrenching back the doors and damaging it beyond repair.
Edward Siddall told the Chronicle: “Nothing was taken, everything including the radio was left.
“However the people who broke into the car thought it would be funny to bend the doors back and damage the car!
“It is just one of many things to happen in the area and its not on.”
Edward says the Fiat belongs to a friend, who does not wish to be named.
He has spoken to the police and neighbourhood watch and is appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The car could have been attacked anytime between midnight Friday and 7am the following morning.
“It’s a complete write off,” he told the Chronicle.
The woman owner had only just passed her test and it’s believed the Fiat was her first car.
Edward wants anyone who witnessed the vandalism, or knows who the attackers are, to call Derbyshire police on 0345 123 3333. |
