SCI FI EXTRAVAGANZA RAISES £1,700
ASHTON was literally ‘Out of this World’ at the weekend as a host of weird and wonderful creatures descended on the Ladysmith Shopping Centre.

Literally hundreds of people called into Ashton’s Ladysmith on Saturday to enjoy the Hyde Fundraisers’ sci-fi extravaganza.

There were creatures from Dr Who, the evil Darth Vader and Stormtroopers plus other weird and wonderful characters. Even the Doctor’s Tardis was in town.

Thanks to the generosity of the Ladysmith, around £1,700 was raised for good causes, including the BBC Children In Need Appeal.

Hyde Fundraisers wish to thank Kim Wright from Baguette & Go at the Ladysmith Shopping Centre for the generous donations of Raffle Prizes, Candy Floss and Dalek balloons which helped with fundraising at last Saturday’s event.

But the fun at the Ladysmith doesn’t stop yet! Make a date for your diary to pop along on Saturday June 6 and help celebrate the first brithday of Dandy Lion - the centre’s mascot, when there will be more fun for all the family.
